Gareth ( Director ) 曾問過我有沒有興趣試一試當Band Mentor，Well the thought of being locked up with a band of teenagers in a small room making excessive noise while shouting on top of my lung is a bit much for me lol. 所以最後我還是專心教吉他好了。 But big thumbs up to all the mentors :)

說到 Gareth , 也就是我的老闆。他對音樂教學和School of Rock 是非常熱愛的，當然啦你可能會說那是他的公司啊，不過如果你看到他為學生付出的努力（舉例來說， School of Rock 去年一共舉辦了超過五十幾場的表演）或遇到學生時總會停下來跟他們像朋友一般說幾句話，學生們都當他是個孩子頭，你大概就會知道我的意思了。
最不像老闆的老闆
我會遇見Gareth 真的很巧，那時候我在GANZ ( Guitarist Association of New Zealand ) 的網站看到有open mic 的消息，當時也不清楚GANZ 的會員都屬於年紀蠻大年齡層的就背著吉他去彈了。我總共也就去了一次，而剛好那天Gareth 也在現場。結果當晚我彈完後他很熱情的自我介紹並邀請我去 School of Rock 任教。 Moral of the story: Get out there because you just never know.
在School of Rock 已經度過了第四個年頭，學校不只是給我一個較穩定的收入（ kind of important for musicians haha ) 它對我在校外的音樂活動也很支持，我要請假去跟樂團巡迴表演，甚至去上海都沒有什麼問題， 和Gareth 聊天時他也常常給我鼓勵與中肯的經驗。跟其他老師交流時也是很好的經驗（ From Hip Hop to Afro beat! ) 當然也有我可愛的學生們but some of them really test your patience lol. 教學這兩個字，我的感覺是在教學生時也學到很多的東西。總而言之，在School of Rock 的這段時間對個人成長是助益很大的。
不過，因為生涯規劃的因素( Bigger Challenge ahead ) 我在上個月結束了學校的工作，雖然有點不捨，but you got to do what you got to do. 至於我下一個計劃是什麼呢？ Well stay tuned and let's find it out together lol :)
